LEARNING JAPANESE FOR BEGINNERS
In this six-week course, you will learn basic Japanese, starting with simple greetings and self-introductions. You will also be introduced to the Hiragana chart, numbers, prices, time expressions, days of the week, months, countries, nationalities, and languages. You will also learn how to construct positive/negative noun sentences and question forms, as well as tips for cultural awareness.
Japanese COURSES for Beginners
Throughout the course, you will learn how to speak Japanese through a variety of activities, such as role plays, games, and other classroom activities. The course is customized to meet the needs of each student, and the learning process is supported with audiovisual teaching methods.
Japanese Beginner 1 – 6 weeks course
In the first module, you will learn how to greet people, introduce yourself, and learn the Hiragana chart. You will also learn how to express numbers, prices, time expressions, days of the week, months, and talk about countries, nationalities, and languages. Additionally, you will learn how to construct positive/negative noun sentences and question forms and receive tips for cultural awareness.
Japanese Beginner 2 – 6 weeks course
In the second module, you will learn how to read and write Katakana and learn vocabulary related to jobs, travel, and transport. You will also learn how to construct verb sentences in the present, future, and past tenses and describe daily routines. Finally, you will learn how to make invitations and be introduced to Kanji (20 kanji).
Japanese Improver 1 – 6 weeks course
This module is for elementary-level students who completed Beginner 1 and 2 courses. You will be able to accept & reject an invitation, describe your preferences using adjectives, and ask about the presence of a person or thing (using imasu and arimasu verbs). You will also learn comparisons and superlatives.
Japanese Improver 2 – 6 weeks course
In this module, you will learn how to express desires, and wishes (-tai form), order food and drink in a restaurant. You will enjoy practicing through a number of reading and speaking exercises as well as developing cultural awareness. Additionally, you will learn 20 Kanjis.
BOOKS
The course book for this course is “Minna no Nihongo (Shokyu 1).” Additionally, you will use “Minna no Nihongo 1 Translation & Grammatical Notes” and “Basic Kanji Book 500 Vol.1.”
Achievement
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to talk and ask about daily routines, invite their friends, go shopping, and ask for directions on public transport. You will also learn to read and write Hiragana, Katakana, and Basic Kanji. Students will receive a certificate of completion and will be advised for further learning opportunities.
